Training
Sessions foster a friendly but positive approach to the sport with technical excellence
being developed alongside a sound tactical appreciation of the movements under
the guidance of a registered and qualified Fencing Master.
Visitors are always welcome but it is the responsibility of each participant
to ensure that their membership of British Fencing through their respective
national body is valid.
Saturday Squad Training Sometimes it is not possible to cover all the aspects needed by a fencer to
complete their game in the weekly sessions and so the Salle is endeavouring to
provide monthly intensive training around particular themes. These themes range
from such things as technically improving simple actions to identifying and
countering tactical styles in opponents, nutrition and hydration, and strategic
approaches to competition.
For those who require it there is the possibility of fitness testing and the
production of computer generated individual fitness/training programmes.
