Sophie Sinclair-Jones has had a long season, representing GB at under 17 and under 20 level and has been invited to represent GB adults. Sophie chose to concentrate on the U17s competitions as she had been enlisted into the Cadet Potential Programme, the first step onto the Olympic
Pathway. During the season Sophie was a double medal winner (Gold and Bronze) at the UK School Games and won the Manchester Cadet International, her first major tournament win for under 17s, she followed this with a 5th in the British Nationals. Sophie’s best national result came in December when she became the youngest person to win the Hereford and Worcester Open. In one day she picked up, Best Under 17, Best Under 20 and overall Champion medals and prizes. At the Junior A Grade in Portugal Sophie came 14th, an excellent result for a major international, she then went on to fence in Bonn, Dijon, Heidenheim, Ligano and Grenoble, doing well in all of them.
